How many days does it take to visit lake Garda?

A few days to visit the most beautiful villages on lake Garda
Lake Garda is the largest lake of Italy and can be completely visited in a circular tour or by motorised vehicles or by bicycle. In a couple of days it is possible to reach the most renowned places on the lake without ever leaving the panoramic road that runs along the clear lake waters. The route which makes the tour is 144km but it is possible to make a diversion to Tremosine stretching the road a few kilometres to 178km. You can decide to go clockwise or anti-clockwise, the important thing is to stop and visit the most famous villages and admire the most beautiful views.

Must-sees
Clockwise, from the northernmost tip of Lake Garda, You can start visiting Riva del Garda, proceeding then on to Malcesine, Torri del Benaco, Garda and Bardolino. After Peschiera You enter the province of Brescia where You cannot forget to pass through some of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Sirmione, Desenzano and Salò to name a few.

The western Gardesana: between the tunnels overlooking the lake
In Salò, proceeding towards Gardone Riviera, it is possible to take the western Gardesana route: one of the favourite tour for those who love breath-taking sceneries or who want to travel it by motorbike or bicycle. The route is almost 70km long and passes through beautiful and picturesque villages overhanging the lake. Continuing northwards, it is possible to reach Gargnano and Limone.
